Stuart Williams from Fiserv Selected as Vice Chairman of NACHA's Council for Electronic Billing and Payments



Fiserv, Inc.announced today that Stuart Williams, vice president of Industry Relations for Fiserv, was elected Vice Chairman of NACHA's Council for Electronic Billing and Payments (CEBP). Formed in 1993, the CEBP promotes electronic consumer and business-to-business billing and payment programs and services, providing an open forum for education, resource development, research and the exchange of information about the electronic billing and payment industry.

Formed in 1993, the CEBP promotes electronic consumer and business-to-business billing and payment programs and services, providing an open forum for education, resource development, research and the exchange of information about the electronic billing and payment industry.

Williams has been active in NACHA, the not-for-profit association that oversees the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network, for more than 15 years and part of the CEBP since 2004. During his time with the CEBP Williams has served as a delegate for a number of task forces and work groups, including consumer tax payments, account portability, consumer e-Bill adoption and posting exceptions. In his new role as Vice Chairman of the CEBP, Williams will bring further insight to the council and steering committee to help shape the projects and work efforts of the council, and to design thoughtful agendas for its three meetings each year.

The CEBP, which serves as a voice of the industry, is made-up of organizations of various industries and backgrounds, including corporations, consumer service providers, financial institutions, government entities, payment networks and trade associations. Today the council consists of more than 105 organizations. Together, the CEBP conducts primary research, develops best practices and provides insight to drive the growth of the electronic billing and payments industry.



Williams has served in a variety of appointed leadership positions since becoming active in NACHA in 1994. These positions include the Electronic Check Council steering committee, the Check Conversion Education council, PayItGreen Alliance co-chair, the PAYMENTS Conference planning committee, the Payments Institute Board of Regents and the Government Relations Advisory Group.
