FIS Announces Innovative Mobile Financial Services iPhone App

Eliminates need to use PC to enroll in mobile financial services

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Dec. 9, 2010FISTM (NYSE: FIS), one of the world’s largest providers of banking and payments technology, today announced its newest mobile banking app, which allows consumers to set up mobile account management through an iPhone® using their debit card. Unlike most mobile financial apps, the entire enrollment process can be completed from start to finish through the customer’s iPhone.

While most other financial iPhone apps require the individual to have an online banking account or register online, FIS makes it possible to download the app and register, all from your mobile phone – there is no need to have a personal computer (PC) or an online banking account. In addition, the FIS app can be fully and uniquely branded by each financial institution or prepaid card sponsor so that it is searchable in the App Store. To date, more than 45 institutions have their branded iPhone apps from FIS in the App Store. This branded iPhone app is offered as part of FIS’ Mobile Financial suite of services, which already includes these same applications for BlackBerry devices and features a mobile browser and text messaging capabilities.
