What Comes Next in the Mobile Wallet Space? Research from the Auriemma Consulting Group to Find Out

LONDON--()--Auriemma Consulting Group (ACG) is set to launch a comprehensive consumer study on the mobile wallet; it is designed to provide an overview of the current state of the UK mobile wallet space, and answer “What comes next?” after launch. To determine the next stage of the mobile wallet, this study includes an in-depth overview on the features and benefits consumers expect on mobile wallets, and potential ways to expand the mobile wallets’ capabilities.
Mobile wallet topics to be analysed include:
  • Consumer knowledge and interest in mobile wallets
  • The types of transactions consumers expect to complete with a mobile wallet
  • Interest in potential providers, including: banks, retailers, mobile phone companies and handset providers
  • Reasons for usage of the mobile wallet, barriers to usage, and methods to overcome these barriers
  • Importance of the features and benefits included within the wallet, and potential ways to expand the mobile wallet’s functionality
This study will be included within the Mobile Payments Report (MPR), a market research service that provides a comprehensive and trended insight on all aspects of mobile and e-commerce, including contactless and NFC payments. The MPR tracks consumer usage, penetration, and attitudes across more than 50 key measures on a quarterly basis, and is therefore a source of deep consumer-led insight. The service is enhanced by consulting support from payments industry practitioners to enable subscribers to shape, adapt, and prioritise mobile payments strategy based on evolving consumer needs and mindsets.
Unlike other ‘spot’ research, the MPR is trended four times a year, and will continually evolve to align with subscribers’ needs. Through this insight and research, the MPR enables subscribers to understand how consumers think, feel, and behave, which enables them to craft compelling strategy and propositions.
